Ingredients
Method
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a simmer and let thicken for about 2 minutes.
- While the sauce is simmering, prepare the Qetoe Low Carb Fettuccine: In a bowl, cover the fettuccine with boiling water, turn off the heat and let it soak for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Add crumbled blue cheese to the simmering cream sauce and stir until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Toss the drained fettuccine in the blue cheese sauce until well coated. Serve topped with the sliced steak and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra flavour, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the cream for a deeper taste.
Traditional fettuccine typically contains around 43g of carbs per serving, whereas using Qetoe Low Carb Fettuccine significantly reduces this, making the dish both healthy and satisfying.
